Anman Jet Grouting Equipment Applied to an Inner Mongolia Highway Crossing Project
Project Overview
From August 26 to September 2, Anman provided eight days of on-site technical service for the first jet grouting equipment used in the Inner Mongolia Transportation Group MengTong maintenance project, including travel and on-site service.
The project was part of the trenchless pipe-jacking crossing works for the heating pipeline supporting project of the Inner Mongolia Shengtai Thermal Power Plant 2×1000 MW units. The construction site was located in Taigemu Town, Tumed Left Banner, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, with the crossing section located at the G5901 Ring Expressway.
The project adopted trenchless pipe jacking to cross the highway, using two DN2400 reinforced concrete pipes. Each pipe had a wall thickness of 240 mm, with a spacing of 3.5 meters between the two pipes. The total pipe-jacking length was 150 meters.
For this type of jet grouting rig for highway crossing projects, on-site equipment commissioning and technical support are important steps before the equipment is put into practical construction.
Equipment Installation and Commissioning
After the customer received the equipment, Anman's on-site engineer provided technical guidance throughout the equipment installation and commissioning process.
The installation work included connecting the electrical cabinet and cables to the drilling rig, completing the installation of the complete rig, positioning the air compressor, high-pressure pump and mixing tank, and connecting the relevant pipelines and cables. The front-end and back-end systems were then tested and commissioned as a complete system.
For jet grouting equipment for trenchless pipe jacking, the complete equipment system and supporting components need to be properly connected and commissioned before practical construction.
After approximately 10 hours of on-site commissioning, the complete equipment system was connected and ready for construction.

Operator Training
After equipment commissioning was completed, Anman also conducted dedicated practical training for the customer's operators.
The training combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, covering equipment structure, operating procedures, safety precautions, and daily inspection and maintenance requirements.
After the theoretical explanation and operation demonstration, the customer's operators carried out hands-on practice under the guidance of Anman's engineer. During the training, the engineer provided timely correction and guidance based on the operators' actual performance, helping them become familiar with the basic operating procedures of a jet grouting rig for highway crossing projects.
After approximately one day, or eight hours, of systematic training, the trainees were able to complete equipment start-up, normal operation and basic troubleshooting, and could independently carry out jet grouting operations.
Ground Conditions and Construction Performance
The geological condition at the project site was soil. The drilling depth was 12 meters, with a 7-meter jet grouting section.
Under these working conditions, the jet grouting rig for soil ground improvement took approximately five minutes for downward drilling, while completion of one jet grouting pile took approximately 40 minutes.
During the on-site construction, the equipment continuously completed drilling and pile-forming operations. The formed piles were continuous and complete, with stable results under the stated site conditions and meeting the project's construction requirements.
The practical application also allowed the customer to gain direct experience in operating and applying jet grouting equipment for trenchless pipe jacking under actual soil conditions.

On-Site Technical Support
Anman provided a total of eight days of service for the MengTong project. During this service period, Anman's engineers provided technical support covering equipment installation, system commissioning, operator training and practical construction application.
For the jet grouting rig for highway crossing projects applied in the MengTong maintenance project, Anman not only provided the corresponding technical solution, but also connected equipment installation, commissioning and operator training with the actual construction conditions during the on-site service.
With technical support from Anman's engineer, the customer's site personnel gradually progressed from drilling rig installation and commissioning to practical construction. The operators were able to become familiar with the equipment through actual operation rather than only observing equipment demonstrations.
Project Summary
This project demonstrates Anman's service process from equipment installation and commissioning to operator training and on-site construction application.
The jet grouting rig for soil ground improvement was applied under the project's actual soil conditions, with a drilling depth of 12 meters and a 7-meter jet grouting section. Based on the on-site construction, downward drilling took approximately five minutes, while completion of one jet grouting pile took approximately 40 minutes.
As the first jet grouting equipment applied in the Inner Mongolia Transportation Group MengTong maintenance project, the project completed equipment commissioning, operator training and on-site construction application, providing the customer with practical experience in using the equipment.
By combining equipment supply, on-site technical guidance and practical operator training, Anman provided support for the customer's first application of the jet grouting equipment and helped the operators gradually develop the ability to independently carry out jet grouting work.
